Spertus Faculty
Susan E. Colon
Dr. Colon has taught courses in the MSHSA program at Spertus College since 2000. She teaches Communication Skills for Human Services Administrators; Research Methods for Human Services Administrators; and Nonprofit Public Relations, Advertising, and Publications. Dr. Colon also is a full-time instructor in the Department of Communication, Media and Theatre at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) where she teaches graduate and undergraduate course in the psychology of communication, health communication, intercultural communication, leadership, public speaking, and research methods. She serves as a core member in the NEIU College of Arts and Sciences Education Program, a teacher education initiative designed to prepare students for careers in Chicago Public Schools through involvement with community partners such as local elementary and secondary schools, Lincoln Park Zoo, and Redmoon Theater.
