“Puts the issue of feminism, equality, and the status of Jewish women front and center.”
- Los Angeles Blueprint

Women of the WallThis powerful documentary follows Women of the Wall, a group battling for female equality in the Jewish religious world. Their main focus is the Western Wall, the holiest site for Jews and a site where women are not allowed to gather for public prayer. For two decades they have challenged this prohibition through colorful protests and their unstoppable legal battle, raising questions about women’s status in Israel and the Jewish world.

Praying in Her Own Voice includes interviews with some of today's most influential women rabbis, including Lynn Brody, Sharon Brous, Lisa Edwards, Denise Eger, Laura Geller, and Naomi Levy, as well as Rabbi David Hartman of the Jerusalem’s Shalom Hartman Institute.

Ravit Markus, executive producer of Praying in Her Own Voice, joins us to share her behind-the-scenes perspective on this important project.
