Grantwriting for Nonprofit Professionals

Grantwriting isn’t just about completing the parts of a grant. Savvy grantwriters understand the differing perspectives of private donors, family foundations, community foundations, corporations, and government agencies. They know what kind of background research they need to conduct. They learn how to frame their project and organizational goals in relation to grant guidelines. In a competitive funding environment, their grants rise to the top.

This workshop gave participants the tools to write winning grants. The workshop was taught by Dr. Karin Baird, Academic Advisor and Faculty Chair for the Spertus Master of Science in Nonprofit Management degree program. Dr. Baird has been teaching nonprofit professionals at Spertus for over ten years, sharing her own considerable experience in the nonprofit arena. All attendees received a certificate of completion at the end of the afternoon.
